It's not uncommon to do it this way. 0.00 is maximum volume....then as you turn it down it shows how many decibels (dB are sound level units...) below the maximum. 👍I have the Panasonic CD stereo system SA-PM17 and when turning the volume up it goes down in numbers with DB after the number,
Please can comeone explain to me why this is and what it means?
Not in this case...🙂@Tinman1952
But usually the higher the number, the louder the volume?
Well no...as I said its quite common. Once you know its fine.@Tinman1952
Why would panasonic make it this way as it's so confusing ?
NO@Tinman1952
Is there anyway to change it so it should show numbers going up?
No problem..just enjoy the sound of your music! 👍

This isn't the tone the forum is aiming for, or the attitude. Can we try a bit harder to be civil?NO

What do you mean?I would suggest everyone who spends out whatever money on a system fully investigates how it works before purchase.
The manual might have explained that the volume is displayed as you describe. What do you mean?
