I have the Panasonic CD stereo system SA-PM17 and when turning the volume up it goes down in numbers with DB after the number,
Please can comeone explain to me why this is and what it means?

minus 50 db is lower than minus 10db. (basic math)

if you lower volume buy only minus 10db wouldn't it be louder than minus 50 db
just like an eq, the volume on the amp might stop at 0db

if you still don't get it please ask another person to explain it

It's not uncommon to do it this way. 0.00 is maximum volume....then as you turn it down it shows how many decibels (dB are sound level units...) below the maximum. 👍

What's descent? Which company make the best sound hifi systems?
I thought panasonic is pretty good but just understand how volume worked.
