I just bought a 42 V10, BUT NEED A BLU RAY PLAYER WITH AS GOOD DVD PICTURE AS I CAN GET FOR A MAXIMUM OF £400, AND WITH GREAT BLU RAY. I HAD THOUGHT OF GETTING THE PANASONIC, BUT TESTED THE V10 WITH THE DENON IN STORE, AND HAVENT SEEN THE OTHERS. I'D APPRECIATE ANY COMMENTS. COULD THE WHATHIFI TEAM PLEASE COMMENT ALSO? THANKS. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS THROUGHOUT.

Both Panasonic and Pioneer are excellent blu-ray players and DVD upscalers. Pioneer has just launched new models BDP-320 and BDP-120 and should be available in a couple of months. Pioneer has a slower start-up time compared to the Panasonic.

If you have a Panasonic TV, why not go for the BD60 and take advantage of Viera Link?

Pioneer BDP320 available now £389 and in stock were i looked. Not sure if the slower start up times apply to the new pioneer models (not from what i've read anyway). The BDP's 120 and LX52 are due July. It would be difficult for you to deviate from Panasonic as you have the TV but i think the Pioneer or the Denon would a superior choice.

could the what hi fi team comment on the difference between these players in both dvd and blu ray picture quality, please? And reccomend one of them? Not to bothereed about the viera link. Just want to know if the others offer better PQ than the panasonic.

thanks
