recently bought this player. on playing blu ray discs it seems to stutter/judder not bad but very annoying 4k discs seem ok does anybody else have this problem.now going to reinststate my denon blu ray ray player to use for the blu ray discs.cant be only me.

This doesn’t sound like a faulty unit to me; more likely a setup/processing issue, especially since your 4K discs are playing fine.

Standard Blu-rays are 1080p/24, so the player (or your TV) has to upscale them to 4K. That’s usually where these little “judder” issues creep in. A couple of things worth checking before you give up on it:

- Make sure 24p output is enabled on the player (sometimes called “24Hz” or “Cinema output”)

- Check what your TV is actually receiving — ideally it should switch to 24Hz for Blu-rays

- Try setting the player to output 1080p for Blu-rays and let the TV handle the upscaling instead

- Turn off or reduce any motion smoothing / judder reduction settings on the TV (these can make things worse rather than better).

have now changed the video setting to output 1080p to see if that works, also would selecting auto do the same as to keep changing this setting back to 4k for 4k discs then back to 1080p for blu rays will be a pain for family members.also 24p setting is set to auto 24p as cant change that one. will not be trying out until the weekend.

Mine operates flawlessly.
As it's only 3 months you've had it, better to return to seller, ask for new replacement or refund.

Ps. Just read @bigboss comments, better first to do the due diligence before returning back to seller.
