Hi, I was going to get one of these until I saw at Richer sounds in The City yesterday - it looked awful - RS are deeply unimpressed with them and the picture looked green compared to just about everything else. Am I right to run away and spend the extra on a Pioneer before they'ce all gone?

I have a Panasonic 42pz85 and I think it's awesome! I did have a quality issue that I have shared on here, but, I now have the replacement and it's perfect. Don't forget watching a TV in a shop with all the additional lighting etc will compromise its performance. Personally I would go to a dedicated dealer and see what it looks like there and compare it with the Pioneer if possible. I did just this and then bought mail order. The Pioneer was, as expected, very good. In my opinion and watching several different sources I decided that the Panasonic was very close to the Pioneer and given the price difference swung it for me. I know, for example, when I viewed the Pioneer in a local Currys it was much worse than my bedroom LCD and that's saying something!

i went into the same richer sounds in the city and they are a bunch of jokers put politely. They told me the exact same thing but i didnt listen and now have an 85 and its an amazing tv. my picture does not look green at all. i dont know what they do to do the 85 there but it does not look right. go to richer sounds in romford they know what they are talking about and arent trying to give it the big spiel.

Thanks Skooby. How does the tv handle high motion subjects like rugby, cricket, ronaldo's pay cheque etc etc?

I have the model down a PX70, and older model too and it is excellent even in a small room. No motion blur, fuzziness, colour is great.
