A bit too far fetch maybe ? Actually "No" ! USN been using these screens for a while now ( 10 years ) . The idea of them is too be able to work under high pressures under water and in space too. But there is no reason why this technology can be used for both mobile phones ( within 6 years ) and TVs screens later. Why organic. well saves the planet of plastic ? for one thing and micro technology. gaming could use organic screens too ( it reduces the number of moving parts and the heat used to fire them up ie the battery. ( they too can be made of organic material . I believe this technology will be available in TVs screens , inside 10 years to replace what appears to be the micro /mini revolution coming now !
Whats the point ? Will be cheaper than current new techs . capable of 4k 5k 8 k 16 k tech screens. And no limit to the size of the screen too .(within reason ) . The problem of these new flats screens coming out is that they are made of an advance plastic ,something has to change ( all this saving the planet stuff) . We have plasma organic screens OLED QLED ,they basically LEDs really just a nice name to call them ! Organic real screens are not and do not need light emitting polymer "s . They are true organic in there nature. ( made of seaweed perhaps) But not affected by being in water or depths for that matter.. But it has to be a pipe dream . or even something seen in Star Trek . see what happens in ten years time . you never know we might go back to CRT screens ? some joke that is .
