Just had a look at the new HCC and they had a review in there too. Five stars again.
And off to John Lewis he goes again.... :)
He already owns it.
Nope, just looked at it in Smiths.
I meant you already own the Oppo. John Lewis doesn't sell HCC!
Yep, I sure do.

Still not enough non Batman vs. The Old Crumpstonians First Eleven type movies to make the switch worthwhile IMHO.

Anyone like a demo of the Oppo in my system via a YouTube video? I can put HDR on and off and you can choose the 4K blu ray?

Yep I'd be interested to see it if you posted a link to your Youtube channel
To appreciate the HDR effect, the camera needs to be HDR capable, and the screen you're watching YouTube on, too.

I think we can still get the general idea without all that though. There are many demo videos of TV screens and blu ray players on Youtube

That's got a 4K camera on it so will get an idea of what it's like

I've hit a problem, last time I downloaded some YouTube blocked my videos for copyright, and now my niece just tried but can't upload it! It seems to be blocking it again. I will keep trying, it looked good on the playback too! I did The Shallows and at the beginning it shows you highlights of ultra HDR.

you need to select highest quality in your YouTube settings when you upload the video.
That's high definition (I think from memory). I can't seem to select 4k, any ideas? This one was done in standard definition!

Gel dude the shallows looks really cracking - you can easily see what turning HDR on and off does. incredible difference

Thats a 2.40:1 film - black bars top and bottom have you got it zoomed in ?

Im not sure but HD will look a lot better than SD, but will take longer to upload!

It says it needs a wifi connection for high definition. I just managed to switch 4K on for the iPhone, still not sure what I am getting though.
