I've been looking to replace my Elac Debut B5.2 for a little while and I'm looking for ideas under £700. I"m curious about the Ruark Sabre R bookshelf speakers but there is very little written or spoken about them. A few commercial events and retailer promotional videos aside there's not much. Despite that everything I have heard has been very positive. Even here on what hi fi they get a mention as being amongst best at Bristol Hi Fi show and yet no review.

Would love to see an actual in depth review or if someone has any opinions on them.

Which is somewhat confusing as they were designed to partner Ruarks latest music system (the Ruark R610)
Which isn't a very expensive amp / source....... Admittedly it is £2k
£2k for combined streamer and amp (which is all it is) isn't exactly cheap, when there's options like the WiiM Ultra/Vibelink that do the same for about a third of the price. When I heard the Sabre-R speakers at Bristol, I was impressed with them, but it would be good to hear more about how they mix with non-Ruark electronics.

Agreed.
Ruark are no slouch in producing speakers but as an add on I might suggest there's others to be considered in that price bracket.

Plenty of alternatives. Off the top of my head, I'd be considering Wharfedale Evo 4.1 and 4.2, Sonus Faber Lumina I, Martin Logan B1, Focal Theva n1 (or the Vestia n1 at current prices)... There isn't a shortage of options.

The Ruark R610 by itself is GBP1200, not 2000. Still a fair chunk but it's a fair bit less than the now seemingly discontinued Cambridge Evo 75.

I went with the ELAC UNI-FI REFERENCE UBR62 and absolutely love these speakers... you might get them near your price when they go on sale.

True but if OP wants these speakers as well...
They were obviously designed to complement this kit so it's obviously capable of driving them.
Who knows what the rest of his kit is....
I just thought it was an odd choice out of the blue.
There's probably better around for that budget.
