ONKYO TX-SR605 - need a speaker package

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good speaker package that will be good for this amplifier. Im after surround sound but would like the cheapest but worthwhile of having the amplifier, package.

Will probably need some sort of budget to help... is there a preference and then a maximum you can do?

No probs,

£500 at most, but am open to cheaper ones if they would do a good job.

Also, would satellite speakers do the trick or would you recommend traditional ones. The room size will cator for either.

Well, I haven't actually heard anything at that price, but if you can go for traditional speakers, I'd recommend it - you'll get better sound for your money compared to "style" packages.

The WHF award winner at that price is the Q Acoustics 1010i 5.1 package - I'd try and find a good dealer who's selling them and ask his opinion on whether they would work and also have a listen yourself. I can't see any reason why not though.
