Onkyo 875 Power Comsumption

I'm looking at getting one of these amps but have a concern with the power consumption. It says on the Onkyo website that it users 875 watts !!!! Is this correct?

Not constantly! The power consumption will depend on how loud you are powering the speakers and also how difficult the speakers are to drive.
