Hello, If I could order an Onkyo 875 or 905 from the USA, will there be any issue with the formats and or electricity? i.e would it play video sources in the UK (PAL etc.) and would it accept 220V electricity? If it can only work qith 110V then how about using an adapter? Any other concerns? The reason is that the 905 is going to sell for $1999 (about £991) while here it will cost £1400). Even if shiping costs £100 that would be £300 savings which could go towards a pair of good speaker stants

I'm sure it could be made to work on 230V, though it'll probably sound pants if powered through a step-down transformer. And bear in mind that on top of that shipping cost there's going to be around 22% VAT and duty, which takes it up to about £1300. A decent step-down transformer able to handle the power demands of the amp is going to cost you the better part of £100, so it doesn't really add up to me. And if you ever had a problem with the product...

Ok got the point... back to looking for a dealer in the UK...

Thanks for the quick responce!

I am tryign to find dealers that carry both the onkyos and the B&W new 600 series for trying them out together. I don't think there are many in Edinbrugh where I live...
