onkyo 507 - how to connect my stereo amp to it?

Hi!
Can any one help with this? I have tried the pre outs (which are apparently for the rear surrounds for some reason?). I have also tried using the tape/cd out and nothing...

If it hasn't got front l+r pre-out's then you wont be able to connect it to your stereo amp.

you can't as it doesn't have a set of pre outs for the fronts

technically I think it should be possible to conect to tape out ou cd recorder out.

Oh so you cant connect it at all? Interesting? The fellows at richer sounds - from where i brought it said it was possible! Gits! Not too bothered mind as i have a full home cinema set up. I was just interested in experimenting and using my stereo speakers for the front left and right. Nevermind.

use the Zone 2 line outs

Or the TV/Tape line out.

not sure how the processing works through the zone 2 and tape outs - can't log on to the manual at the moment as not working properly

you might be able to get direct stereo out but poss not the surround sound information that you would want

When using the zone 2 outs, the receiver only allows 2.1 playback, not full surround sound, page 80 of the manual here, so that's no good.

think it was my comp having a fit but didn't think you could - thought i rem reading that in my onkyo 876 man
