I am about to start putting my AV system together and was wondering about the merits of one of the older premium amps such as Denon AVC A1SR/Pioneer AX10 AI.
Whilst I appreciate that the older amps won't have HDMI and other new features (most of which I probably won't use) they must be special if they originally cost £2500+.
If by buying one of these amps, looking at the Pioneer specifically, for the same price as one of the latest models £800 ish am I starting with a redundnat unit that I will only end up changing in the near future?
