Offers on decks for a beginner

Hello all,
Has anyone seen any good offers on turntables for beginners recently? I've found some Technics SL-1200 for £120 and the 'numark DJ in a box' package for £100, would either of these be suitable or would you recommend against them?

Hi. What do you intend to use the turntable for, if it's not a daft question? Is it for 'Hi-Fi' listening or connection to a computer? Depending upon this, you may need either an amplifier with a Phono input or a pre-amp, or a USB deck. If you give a little more information about your existing kit, I'm sure you'll gey lots of advise here.

The Technics, providing it's in good condition, is a fine turntable.
