First post on this very useful website (been browsing for a little while), seems like alot of knowledgeable individuals here. Anyways..
I'm looking for a Home Cinema system to start me off, obviously I'm looking for good value for money, sound quality etc. I was originally looking at a Bose Cinemate GS (without DVD player) system but after a little background researching, this proved to be a little overpriced in reality and lacking a little in sound quality for £750 IMO. However I do really like the minimal visual impact and small footprint idea of a 2.1 emulating a 5.1.
This in mind my current setup is basically:
Panasonic Viera 42" Plasma (TX-42G10B) - on tv stand
Playstation 3
These are my general guidelines that I'm hoping for you to suggest some suitable solutions:
Small/Medium Room (5.50m x 5.00m)
Preferably a 2.1 based system
Designed for Movies but also good some Music playback.
Budget up to £1000 (all in ready to go)
