Why's it infuriating? Divulge the TV you own.I gave up watching Television. I began to find it so infuriating that I couldn't watch it any more. Ha ha. No disrespect to those who enjoy it though.
I'm surprised more people don't do it.I gave up watching Television. I began to find it so infuriating that I couldn't watch it any more. Ha ha. No disrespect to those who enjoy it though.
Enjoy it?No disrespect to those who enjoy it though.
Me too. I dislike intensely the way TV presenters talk to us as though we all have the mental capacity of bloody 4 year olds. The News people, if that's what they are.....more like propaganda presenters actually, quote so called "experts" all the time and expect us to believe them. The quality of TV writing and production has deteriorated to the point that for me it's unwatchable. If I'd kept my TV, I would have ended up putting a hammer through it ha ha.Enjoy it?
Certain mainstream channels, more than ever before, are competing to come up with the weirdest freak shows.
Even the BBC News channel, in response to budget cuts, has deteriorated markedly.
I despair of the general direction of UK TV.
Me too, it’s one of the most irritating aspects of TV these days.I dislike intensely the way TV presenters talk to us as though we all have the mental capacity of bloody 4 year olds.
I get what you're saying but, I'm not as thick as, not just two but, three short planks and, I don't have the memory of a goldfish with Alzheimer's. I find such presentation exceedingly irritating and, even science programmes are going the same way.It does come across as patronising, but in fairness to them, presenters are told not to assume that all viewers are up with the details - and many are not.
Jeremy Vine should go over to the US. Fox News would pay him handsomely and, we would be rid of him.Mrs. P is fixated on any news programme, incl these crummy daytime shows: 'Good Morning' or The Jeremy Vine Show, which drives me insane.
Alternative news.
Yes indeed. I think you're correct. For me there ended up being two options.I get what you're saying but, I'm not as thick as, not just two but, three short planks and, I don't have the memory of a goldfish with Alzheimer's. Does your TV have streaming services?Yes indeed. I think you're correct. For me there ended up being two options.
1; Sledge Hammer
2; The local dump.
😂 and a lovely letter to the TV licence authorities explaining to them that I do not possess the necessary equipment to recieve their stuff as it's being broadcasted etc. I think I might even have told them that even if I did have the equipment I wouldn't watch any of their ....erm what shall I say. Wonderful programmes.🥱

My puny little LG has all the bells and whistles, incl BBCiPlayer, ITVX, Amazon Prime, UK TV Play, Disney +, YouTube and many others.
When TV channels are rubbish there's plenty of film and additional TV channel to choose from, incl Spotify.
It's not uncommon in Europe to be charged a licence fee so don't know what the issue isYep...
I have no issue with a TV licence. Most of the streaming devices are free of charge. It's not uncommon in Europe to be charged a licence fee so don't know what the issue is
