Next best after Panasonic TX32LXD700

After reading countless pages forums i decided to opt for the Panasonic TX32LXD700, problem is that by the time i'd got round to buying one no retails had any in stock! and still don't!

So my question is, what's the next best 32 inch tv out there? In stock and in time for xmas.

Well, if it's any help, I had the Panasonic TX32LXD700 and the Sony KDL-32D3000 pretty much neck-and-neck. My local Sony Centre just weren't prepared to shave even a little off the RRP but my local Panasonic shop did me a discount and 12 months interest free and a 5 year warranty so they won my custom!

If you can't get the Panasonic, take a look at the Samsung LE32R87BD (£700 or less). It was our Best Budget 32in TV in the 2007 Awards.

I'm thinking of buying the Pana TX32LXD700, but am confused as to which DVD recorder to purchase. I want to have a hard disk and also to be able to copy to blank DVDs too. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks.

Look at the Sony RDR-HXD870 or 970. Both the same machine but with more capacity on the 970. Make sure the firmware is up-to-date though.
