Newbie Question Denon DM37 and Itouch

Hi

Just picked up a Denon DM37 and Tannoy F1s from Superfi tonight,

Now im really not that upto date with my Itouch and connections, can anyone tell me how i connect it to the Denon?

Should it work if i plug the Itouch USB cable into the front? doesnt seem to work.

Well your right, it won't work this way. There are several ways to connect it - such as...

1. 3.5mm to 2 phono lead - like THIS or THIS

2. Use a dock - this has the added benefit of charging the iPod - like THIS or THIS

3. Use dock connector to 2 phono - like THIS

I guess 3.5mm to 2 phono lead is the cheapest way for a start, would quality be ok this way?

The quality would certainly be ok. You should get an improvement with the QED lead over the 'cheapo' one but it would be more important to ensure your songs have been encoded at a decent bitrate.

Ok Great,

Would like to get one tomorrow so guess locally its either a cheap 3.5mm to phone or try the Apple dock from Currys etc.

Do the Apple Docks get a good rating? i guess from this i can use the Apple remote to skip songs etc.

The Apple dock does get a good rating. I believe WHF gave it 5 stars but there does not seem to be a review on the site....
