New Vinyl Setup

Hello all I am about to purchase my first "proper" turntable etc (Rega P2) would like to get back into vinyl, any absolute musts for my collection?

Musical taste is varied from Soft Rock, Popular, Jazz, Country and Classical so would appreciate your top 5's if possible.

Jazz - modern or trad? Look at Time Out by Dave Brubeck for the former, and maybe an Acker Bilk & Band(early 60s is best) for trad... Also, Kind of Blue by Miles Davis is a must.

Absolutely mike,things can tend to get a bit serious on here at times. Some good albums you chose mind.

Why not duplicate if you can your favourite cd's on vinyl, i have some dubious sounding vinyl copies of favourite albums but no better on cd in fact worse but i prefer vinyl anyway, i will say that most albums on the A&M label are very nice indeed so take your pick of Supertramp, The Captain and Tenille, Ozark Mountain Dare Devils, Quincy Jones and the man himself Herb Albert.
