Hello all I am about to purchase my first "proper" turntable etc (Rega P2) would like to get back into vinyl, any absolute musts for my collection?

Musical taste is varied from Soft Rock, Popular, Jazz, Country and Classical so would appreciate your top 5's if possible.

Thanks

1) summerteeth - Wilco

2) Katy Lied - Steely Dan

4) Absolute Torch & Twang - kd Lang

5) Greatest Hits - John Denver

6) The Pretender - Jackson Brown

In their own way these are all fantastic albums, especially on vinyl.

Why not duplicate if you can your favourite cd's on vinyl, i have some dubious sounding vinyl copies of favourite albums but no better on cd in fact worse but i prefer vinyl anyway, i will say that most albums on the A&M label are very nice indeed so take your pick of Supertramp, The Captain and Tenille, Ozark Mountain Dare Devils, Quincy Jones and the man himself Herb Albert.

Thanks totomatic looking forwards to eventually adding these to my collection.

on a separate issue anyone got any good cheap ideas for vinyl storage, or will two shelves placed at the appropriate distance suffice.
