New TV - Cheaper LED or average priced LCD?

Hi everyone,

I'd like to consider myself as somewhat of a geek
when it comes to tech, but shopping for a new TV is starting to stress
me out!

Basically I want a 37" Full HD that's going to handle
watching TV, Blu-Rays and playing PS3/Xbox without any motion blur and
producing decent blacks/colours etc.

I've found an LG LED that
seems cheaper than any other LED's I've seen, (I've seen it for around
£430) but I can't seem to find any reviews for it (other than a few
customer reviews on store websites)

Here's the LG: http://www.lg.com/uk/tv-audio-video/televisions/LG-led-tv-37LE4500.jsp#

Today however I had an email from Amazon regarding their Sony Bravia sale and found these 2:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-KDL37EX403U-Widescreen-Internet-Freeview/dp/tech-data/B003BVI4BC/ref=de_a_smtd

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-KDL37EX401U-37-inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/B003BVI4B2/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1298485916&sr=1-9

They are both a similar price to the LED but I really have no
idea which is best. Will the 50Hz refresh rate affect the motion blur
when playing games? I've read a few accounts for and against higher Hz
TV's as to whether they are worth the extra cash so I'm a little
confused.

If anyone can help pick one of these (or perhaps suggest a better TV) for roughly around £400-£500 I'd be massively grateful!

Cheers everyone!

Josh
