Hi,

I'm keen to change my existing Yam sub, as i feel it's just not up to scratch with the rest of my system now after my last upgrade, and was hoping you lovely people could give me some suggestions

I'm looking to spend around £300-400 if poss.

I've always thought the obvious route would be to get the RSW12 to match my existing speakers, but i'm curious to see if anyone thinks there's something out there that'd work be better for the same sorta money.

Any help/advice will be really appreciated.

Thanks guys

Considering you have a Monitor Audio speaker system, and in the interest of maintaining cohesion and synergy, the RSW12 would be an appropriate choice.

If you are still looking for other options, you may want to consider the B&W ASW610.

you won't better the RSW12 if you had £750 and they can now be bought for under £400! It is a beast!!

RSW12 sub is brilliant (I am biased, I run two) if you can find one then they go for £350 (hifix in walnut) but be quick! Or an RXW12 for £520 from a friendly dealer!

I also have, and would whole heartedly recommend the RSW12, if you can get one for under £400, BARGAIN...!

I Would say REL would be a good option, i use the R-305 and it integrates in with my monitor audio RX6's superbly. these retail at around £799 but i picked up a mint condition one in piano black for £285 on flea bay.
