going off sonys usual yearly product range they usually improve each model only slightly but still improvement.

i have a sony s360 and note i have no interest in 3d and am not upgrading my receiver sony 2400es so its 1.3 all the way

is the picture on the new range s370 etc an improvement or is it just the 3d upgrade and 1.4 step up.

or is it worth ignoring the new range and getting the s760 at a cheaper price when the 770 comes out or just get another 360 while its cheap

As for the upgrade, I would try to demo them first. I have seen a range of players and I would be surprised if you noticed a massive improvement. I guess it depends how much of an improvement you are after....

But of the options you have listed I would step up a range rather than go for the model that has replaced your current one. If there are noticeable improvements to be had I would expect it to come from the higher range.

Thats exactly what I did. I went to my local Sony Store and bought a BDP-760 and I am really impressed compared to the PS3 Slim.

I guess to answer your question: The 770 is not out on till the end of the year. I think it depends what you want, if your going to go down the 3D route this year then wait. Otherwise the BDP-760 is a worthy upgrade.

I am waiting to see what happens with 3D and maybe this time next year look at upgrading all my gear to the latest Sony.

just a quick note - the S370 is the only new Sony model that isn't 3D (either upgradeable or out of the box)...

i have absolutely no interest in 3d its not for me.

im more bothered about picture quality. i had a sony 350 and changed to a 360 and noticed a small improvement in picture quality.

as i usually hammer the players i sell them before the warranty is up and buy a new one so my player is always in warraty. ive been burnt lots of times before with dvd and pvr.

which is why i was asking if the 370 improves over the 360 in picture quality not features.

or if the 760 is that much better get that when it becomes cheap.

i dont want to spend to much as i change every year hence the 370, 470 route or just replace my current 360 with a new one
