I've just upgraded my subwoofer to the PV1 to go with the M1 speakers. I run Yamaha's auto setup and it set the lever for the other speakers to +3-4 db and the woofer to -5db. Is that reasonable? Should I change it?

Another question I have is how many hours are needed to run in the PV1?

will there be a big difference in performance after 75 hrs?

Probably you will not notice that much cause it will be quite gradual.

Give your sub a good 100 hours running in time, then run the auto setup again, as those levels and any room EQ compensation may very well be diffrent after this time.

I couldn't tell you how many hours, as xon501 said, it is gradual. I was still noticing changes after about 3yrs of use!! I think it is well and truely run in now though

I ordered the qed reference subwoofer cable 3m to replace a cheap cable that was provided free by the dealer. Will it make a big difference?

Is the QED reference good enough for the PV1 or should have i gone for the signature series?
