It certainly looks like a monster. That's the first Monitor Audio speaker I can remember being ugly. Normally MA makes really stylish speakers.

The Mk2 versions of the existing Platinum line up, have taken a massive jump in price.

Meanwhile, there are bargains to be had on the outgoing models.

The Mk2 versions of the existing Platinum line up, have taken a massive jump in price.

I've not seen any confirmed UK prices yet, but despite their similarity looks wise with the originals, there's a lot of new materials and design work gone into these Mk IIs. Plus, there was never a price increase during the original Platinum's life cycle.

I'll be attending the dealer launch at the end of January, so I'll post back about them then.
