was a little underwhelmed by this when I first listened to it but just had it cranked up and am loving it! loads of layers I didn't notice the first time round (the pitfalls of having things on as background music..)
Made me realise I need to sit down and actually "listen" more, listening sessions seem to be getting a bit too few and far between of late.

Yup... Definitley agree with you there.

I thought it was good when I first heard it but after listening to it a number of times (getting louder and liuder each time

) I found it to be brilliant.

The 3rd track 'Splitting the Atom'; IMO is superb. A REAL tester for your system and the bass depth of your speakers. The guys vocals are brillisnt

bay24:the volume does seem to be going up and up!

Don't blow your speakers by the way...

Ha! good point, I have the divine comedy on now so I think they are safe... I may need to stop singing now though....

1978:I liked it from the first listen and it's a lovely album ( though quite dark ) with great mastering.

Me too. There were quite a few comments on the forum about it being "ok", "not as good as Mezzanine" etc when it first came out. But I've liked it since I owned it, and think it can quite happily stand on its own two feet.
