New Blu Ray Player.

Currently have a Pioneer BDP LX50A, which is becoming tempramental. Want to replace with something new, just as good if not better. Not interested in 3D or BD live etc, just want good picture & sound quality.

Recommendations pls. Have looked at Sony 5000ES and older Denon 2500, but do the current £200- £400 players match mine in quality as the technology has advanced ???

I would first have your Pioneer seen to by your dealer.

I agree I recently auditioned the Arcam blu ray and felt that my Pioneer lx_08 was amazing close on both picture and sound so i decided to stick with it and not upgrade.

fix it if you can
