Btw, RRP for the CDA 2 is £2050

All the best

Rick @ Musicraft

seems reasonable considering the price of the ca2 pre amp on it's own. i hope they do well with it. :rockout:

Hi Craig

As with all other ATC products i also think the CDA 2 is reasonably priced :) I think ATC will do well with the CDA 2 as there is already alot of interest from their existing clients alone.

Btw, i placed my order for the CDA 2 over five years ago

All the best

Nice one! feed it with SB touch or another streamer and then to active speakers and you get a great low box count system.

I remember when I visitited ATC abt 14 month ago we talked about the imminent CD and I remember I asked if it will have digitla inputs. They said they were not sure. I said I think this is a must for a new product in this category these days as there seems to be a trend towards streamers and dacs at the moment. I am not saying they listened to me but I think it is good they did incorporate digitla inputs. And a pre also! Fantastic.

I think this will be a successful product.

Any info on the spec for the inputs? 24/96? 24/192? Async USB?

Edit: Ah, no USB at all.

Personally I find it rather odd that this wasn't incorporated in the first place.

of cause better to have a streamer inlcuded but I think it is understandable as ATC is a small company with relatively small sales and therefore difficult for them to recover the necessary product development costs. especially when there is already plenty of standolone streames on the market, not to mention computers, which they would have to compete with.

BTW, Bodfish, very neat system - only 2 boxes! (well, 3 and a nas?)

If its anything like their speakers it'll be stunning. ATC are in my opinion the very best British outfit for quality Hi Fi. They don't excel in aesthetics but its what you hear that counts. Only problem is I can't afford it even though their kit is well worth it and superbly engineered. One of my mates had a speaker cone blow and ATC simply sent him a new one FOC.

I might have known it would be released as soon as I bought a new DAC/PRE oh well....now if they would maybe make a transport only option I would have a look at that >)

Thanks AlmaataKZ.

I'd deliberated for a long time before down-sizing from a ten-box system (inc speakers) to an integrated approach. My original plan had been to replace my DNM amplification and Naim DAC (seven boxes!) with the Devialet D Premier but that would still have required a front end for streaming (not to mention the not inconsiderable financial outlay!).

The Uniti does everything I need and while I have definitely 'lost' some quality, the fact that the system can now be accomodated in my living room (the old system literally could not fit in and was 'relegated' to a spare bedroom) means I am listening to music far more than I used to.

The NAS is parked out in the hall so I don't count that particular box!

This is a very exciting piece of kit IMO, hopefully it can live up to the standards of their existing products. Also looks great :)

WHF team, any idea when you'll be getting one to review?

Looks nice, will be interesting to have a listen against the Audiolab CDQ, functionality is similar Inc Balanced outputs although the CDQ has more inputs and is Half the price.

That's a comparison test I would like to see as well . Is the ATC twice as good for twice the price ?
