🙂 When I first started playing my CM1's they were great, now having had them playing for almost a week they have in the last 10 hours started sounding simply wonderful . The most noticable difference is at low volume.

this isn't just in my head it's very real, which is most excellent! And the top end in these things is superb.

Speaker burn in is real (from new anyway) as the speaker driver parameters will change, the surrounds will loosen slightly.

If you think about it speakers have the most moving parts of any consequence. Like a car engine moving components need gentle caressing while they wear in. I've found that the treble loses some harshness once they've reached a period of about a week.

Yup; they do like a good running in 🙂

I've only had my new LS50s from Saturday afternoon but they were on constantly all that afternoon and early evening (around 6 hours - low to medium volumes) and then on more or less ALL day Sunday (from 0900 till around 1800 - again low to medium volumes but turned up loud'ish every so often) and they've been on all day yesterday (1000 till 1900) and the same today (I work from home so have them on as background music instead of my 2nd system upstairs just whilst they run in)

They've gone from sounding already very good on Saturday to absolutely sublime yesterday and they'll continute to get better from here on 🙂
