I have a problem connecting up my Panasonic Blu-ray to the internet.

I have Virgin Broadband [motorola router] connected up to a Netgear G wireless Router WGR 614v9.

I have run a data connection from this from the LAN port to the Blu ray.

I have [tried to] follow the instructions but it is not receiving a signal.

Any suggestions? The manual was written by NASA and is a struggle to follow.

Hi

This should be simple but a little bit confused why its not working for you. We have had the DMP-BD60 hooked upto the net and worked fine straight away.

So basic things to do is make sure you have a ethernet cable running from the router / modem straight into the BD60, because you have a modem and a seperate wireless router.. i would suggest running a cable from the Netgear to the BD60 to see how that goes first, in regards to the BD60, it basically detects the LAN automatically, so there should not be any reason to manually configure anything, there is a menu for the LAN in the settings called "Network Settings" for the BD60, just make sure it is set to pick up the IP Address Automatically, then perform a "Connection Test" to see if it detects the LAN, if it does fail, then the other thing to try is to have a LAN cable running from the Motorola modem you have straight to the BD60 and try the above again.

I hope it works for you.
