need new speakers

I have blown my quad 11L speakers so i will be looking to replace them, so im seeking advise on new set. my set up is nad 326bee amp, dac magic. i was thinking of getting the quads 12L2 or b&w 685s my room is small.

i like most types of music r&b pop clubland ect

As we have all said you need to demo with your amp and C DP where possible but the B&W 685's will do very well with the NAD gear and your taste in music.

The Monitor Audio RX2's would be worth a demo as well.

Don't forget to budget for decent stands (IMO both the above speakers would be best on Partington Super Dreadnought stands).
 
Get an amp that is powerful enough to run clean (not clip) at the peak volume levels you enjoy.

(Or get more efficient speakers.)

It is unlikely that you blew the speakers with too much power but rather pushed the amp beyond it's limits, driving it into clipping.

Quad 11Ls are rated from 30 - 150 watts and have 86db sensitivity (6 ohms). So either get an amp that is significantly more powerful or get 90db (8ohms) speakers. (or do both).
 
i have replace the both mid bass drivers cost me 108 quid from quad sounds much better more punch and clearer with better bass responce.
