Most time I am listening to the music through the headphones. Now I have: Grado SR225, Rega EAR and reference Marantz 15S1 CD-player which I purchased recently. What an interesting thing! I found out that having hooked the phones to the phone out of the player you can get the sound quility even better then that from the out of the amplifier! My new Marantz is certainly much better than the NAD 521 I had earlier. But I'm convinced - the 15s1 could produce much more detailed and clear sound. So, please tell me what should I do? Perhaps it would be better to substitute my Grados by the pair of high-ohm headphones. Reportedly REGA EAR was designed specially for headphones with the high impedance. Another choice is to substitute the headphone amp. In my city I can only find such models as are GRADO RA1, PROJECT HEADBOX and CREEK OBH21. Which of them do you advice in this case?
