Hello everyone! (Merry Christmas)

I would like to set up a nice cheap sound system in my living room and need some advices as I don't know a lot about those products.

What do you think about this configuration:

Does all those products will work great together?

Can I easily plug other device such as my macbook(minijack out), ipod, or hdtv(aux out) to the amp?

Thank you!

Welcome to the Forum Tony and happy Christmas to you and yours. You can plug other devices in, but you won't get their full potential thanks to the limitations of the amp itself (straight stereo). Especially if you want to stream hi-res files off your Mac or similar.

For your budget, you could look out - and apologies to everyone else - Onkyo TX8050 network receiver. It carries four digital inputs so you can use the onboard DAC which just happens to handle hi-res FLAC or WAV (Amongst a bunch of other file formats). It's a high current design too and will allow you to connect a series of components up, but also you TV. It's two channel, but well set-out. I've had mine a few days now and it's blown me away by how good it is. For the money you'll spend on it (£300 at the moment in Richer Sounds and Superfi), complaints would be churlish.
