Naim & Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor M

Hello!

I am going to buy second Hi-fi setup and I am interested is Naim combo (Naim Nait 5i MkII & Naim CD 5i MkII) good match for Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor M? If it's a good match, which cables should I use with them? I am thinking of Chord Co. or QED.

I never heard Naim and SF together, I know Krell 400Xi and Pass Labs Pre/power do sound fantastic with the older version of gorgeous Italian pair.

The Audditor do need plenty of current drive even if the company do recomended amplification as low as 40 watts, from my personal experienced with them, 100 Watts ahould be a starting point to make them sing properly.

Hello Thaiman! I haven't heard from You in a long time...

Old Auditors need a lot of power, but the new one don't. (my personal opinion) I've heard Ayre/SF combo wired with Cardas Golden Reference and that's very nice. Ayre AX-7e integrated is 70W/ch. I also heard Krell KAV 400xi/SF combo and that is very nice too, but out of production soon. Pass is extremly expensive and too big. Any other brand that would work fine with the new Auditors?

Just posted in this subject area. Like you looking for a bit am contemplating a similar combo, having been recommended to go this direction from a friend in the profession. But geting hold of Fabers is tough in the second hand market - anyone out there get contacts ?

Held off the purcahse of a the Arcam cd73 with the Diva A70 discontinued combo .

Agree with the others, you probably need better that the base model Naims. Worth checking on the Naim forum - there's a few who use SFs there.

Oh, and if you go down the Naim road, then the NACA5 is the cable to use.
