AirPlay capability will make the UnitiQute a viable proposition as an upgrade (for me) so long as the price is kept around £1400 between now and Naim's usual price hike in April*. (My hifi spend 'window' is usually mid March).

Hopefully it will have all the functionality of AirPlay that I enjoy now on the Marantz.

*Otherwise I may not be able to afford an iPad 2 to go with it

Forget it.

[Edit: Although... would a £79 AirPort Express - connected to the internet router with ethernet and to the UnitiQute with optical - make it AirPlay compatible without spending out an extra £250 and waiting for Naim to offer an expensive AirPlay download?]

As I replied to chebby in the article, the 250 quid is primarily for 24/192 playback, and not necessarily Airplay capability.
