NAD C660 HELP

hello everybody

I am having some issues with recording using my NAD C660 recorder and wonder if anyone knows this machine?

I am trying to record some LPs for a friend. The recorder seems to be working fine with CD playback and the display is showing that the machine is recogninisng the CD-R. It is when I press record that I get the message - NO AUDIO.

Its been a while since I used the machine but I think I have it set up correctly using the manual with diagrams.The discs I am using are new so could not say weather the issue lies with the discs or the machine. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

check your discs, are they 'music' discs.

Some say they are 'recordable' but are not compatible with this player.

Kodak : 52x CD-R
Sony. : CDRW700

Two examples that don't work with this player. They look ready but return the no audio message when you try to record.

Maxwell XL-ll 80 'music'- definitely works though and delivers identical copies to the source.
