I have had my Nad c340 amp for about 9 years, its been a great amp so i have never felt the need to replace it. Over the years i have had a pair of Mission 702e's which i had no problem with, i then replaced them with Mission M74i's which eventually the tweeters blew. I then bought Kef iq7se's which i thought would be more than man enough to handle my amp but after 3 months the tweeters blew, i sent them back to Kef who said i had overloaded the tweeters so i had to pay for them to replace them. After having them back for just 3 weeks i had blown one of the tweeters again! I have alot of parties so my speakers do take a lot of stick, i also run my decks through them so they have to put up with some harsh frequency's running through them. I realize now that they are just not up to the job but my missions dealt with it much easier. Has anyone else had this sort of problem with these speakers?
I listen to house music,loud! Can anyone recommend other speakers which should handle my amp & decks easily? There is no specific budget that i want to stick to.
I am thinking of buying a pro pair of speakers but a lot of them are big & ugly! Any ideas on sensible pro speakers?
