Hi all, just thought I'd share with you my current system (per sig) and how I got there over the years.
1st system:
Technics SLPG480a CD player
Audiolab 8000a (still got)
Kef Reference 102/2 (still got)
(both amp and speakers were got for tiny amounts from my Uncle who was upgrading, Cd was all I could afford at 15 but did surprisingly well)
Since then I've had the following in various configurations/rooms...
Marantz CD67se
Arcam Alpha One cd
Arcam Alpha 5+ cd
Arcam Alpha 7se cd
Arcam Alpha 5 amp
Kenwood DM5090 mini disc
B&O LX2502N TV
B&O Beovox ???
Tannoy 60? bookshelf speakers
B&W DM620i floor standers
B&W DM601s3
Sony DVP-S525
Sony DVP-NS400D
Yamaha DSP-E492
Yamaha NSC-103
All the way through to my current set up. Nearly everything has been bought through part exs coming into the shop I used to work in years ago, or via eBay.
Best bargain (apart from the 8000a and Kefs as near gifts)? Arcam Alpha 5+ cd player and Alpha 5 amp for £25 each back in 2000, and my current MA GR20's for £400 a couple of years ago.
Any comments / questions on stuff old and current welcome!
