The router is downstairs so that would be an issue, right?

Well ideally you'd be able to connect via Ethernet but if a direct connection can't be made, homeplugs may provide a more stable connection than wifi

It’s not doing it all the time, though. Basically I won’t watch it for a week or so then I turn it on again and that’s when it happens.

Make sure the latest firmware is installed. Also, try to reset your TV.

Request remote support then. It just needs resetting.

In my Sony, I get the option to restart the TV by long pressing the power button.

Turned it off YouTube and onto the Amazon Fire stick and it now lets me do the update to firmware and factory reset. Cheers.

sounds that connecting to wi fi through router works But how about a direct cable link instead of wi fi ( if it able to do that? My Shark RF OPENSPOT is not wif fi so direct cable from router. ( i be very surprised if anyone here knows what that is ) my notrmal connection PLASMA TV is through Amazon prime HDMI . Pansonic does not support the Plasma anymore

Sometimes my Samsung loses its picture and just goes black, you can still hear the sound though, then I have to power off and then back on again and it’s sorted. Any ideas? It’s when I am watching YouTube it happens.

this is the problem with the latest TVs they have to be connected to the internet to get them working properly

at least my old PLSXSMA 50 3D does not need it. The TCL i just bought does and very much so bought it a few days ago getting use to it

Just YouTube it’s the only thing I watch on it. The Samsung app on the TV. Been on the phone with Samsung and John Lewis all day. In the end Samsung took control of the TV and reloaded the apps again and deleted some cookies. John Lewis was going to do a repair but then worked out it was a software issue so I had to go back to Samsung again.

I think I am just going to give up with the Samsung TV and dump it! I got my LG OLED TV.
