Upfront, I bought a pair of Gloss Black Monitor Audio Silver 8's with a Denon AVR X2100W. My sources initially where my HTPC and Spotify via Spotify Connect, this is all in the living room so obviously there was AV duties too. I've since ditched the HTPC in favour of my PS4, and Spotify in favour of Google Music via Chromecast.<br><br> In advance I must apologise for the bad pictures, I've seen some wonderful gear displayed beautifully in this forum, this doesn't look beautiful. The fire surround was originally a natural wood but I got my hands on some treacle like gloss paint, meant for tiles. I only ever did one coat, I should have sanded it and done a second but the original coat took 2 whole days to dry! We're getting the fire out which means the surround, tiling on wall/floor will be gone. A fair bit of redecorating is in order over the next 12 months.
Ive also been subtly suggestion preparation of more speakers to be arriving which has went down like a lead balloon. That's a work in progress though. I think I'd like to go 4.0 next

Looks a good, uncomplicated set-up. Everything I like about systems. MA certainly know about aesthetics. Just by looking at those pics, my only concern is the LH speaker seems a bit close to the sofa.

Thanks, simple set up for a simple fella. I had been concerned about that to but reading up on it the LF drivers aren't effected (apparently) too much by placement. I know the setup isn't ideal in terms of placement but she won't let me get rid of the suite haha
