I had 3 RXV 3900's that had power on problems, i wasn't very happy at first coz nobody had answers and no attempt was made by the supplier to contact Japan, so i threw my toys a bit. I made a deal with my dealer to upgrade to the Z7. The 3900 issue has now been sorted via a update.

The Rotel system is playing as i'm typing this and i'm very happy with it.

thanks scoobiedoo. I didn't think i'd notice a difference between the RB1070/RC1070 and RB1080/RC1082. The difference is awesome, better imaging, more detail.......loving it

I've never had a problem with overheating with the Rotel kit. Eventually every component will have it's own space, I'm starting construction of my cinema room and hi fi room next month, so i will have lots of space to rearrange and seperate my kit.

as it is now i have had it stacked since Mar 09 but prior to upgrading, since Nov 08. I'm very happy with it and can't wait till each system has its own dedicated room.

thanx so it shouldent do any harm.gonna have to think about this one like you i really like having each component on its own shelf.

Fortunately the Rotel doesn't get as hot as my Yamaha Z7. I'm sure no harm will come from stacking the Rotel, no vents are been covered but ideally i would like more space around the components.
