Hi, I've been asked to source a bluray player from a uk offline retail store upto £130. What is the best offer currently going around. The tv it will be used on is this years LG 42" 100hz 1080p which was purchased from pcworld for £479 a couple months ago. Currently using wdtv but want to get a player. Online is not an option as the gentleman purchasing it for my partner is her grandad and hes no too good online 🙂

Why don't you buy one for him. £99.99 at Play.com and Amazon is the Sony BDP-S370 right now but probably only for the very short future. The deal will come back though over the next few months. Then he can give you the cash.

If you want a bricks & mortar shop, the Sony S370 is available for £119.99 at Sainsburys & £119.95 at Richer Sounds.
Of course, if you don't mind putting your hand in your own pocket, the Sony BDV-E370 is £300 on Play.com. It's a Blu-Ray and complete 5.1 surround sound package in one. A great option if you can push the budget a bit.
