Why would someone sell this 5 months old unit at a ridiculously low price? Is that how much MF product worth second hand nowadays? http://cgi.ebay.com.my/MUSICAL-FIDELITY-M6-/280592623134?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_CDPlayerSeparates&hash=item41549fa61e

It's an auction with some time to go. Given the amount of interest already it'll almost go for a lot more. Go back when it's finished to get a true picture of it's worth.

If you auction (rather than put a fixed price) it can be a little risky, but items usually find their correct level.

The M6 is very new model so it should fetch quite good money, I also known the seller (a 2nd hand hifi dealer that I met at the show) and he seem like a nice enough guy. As for how good is it? I don't know!

Bear in mind its not necessarily always a perfect market where items go at market values - not everyone is equally informed about each listing and/or remembers to search every day so not to miss something, so some items may go at less than market value (as in this case it was a bargain). If everyone who wanted one of these knew about this auction, it would likely have sold for much more.
