I read with interest the advertisement by this name in your December issue.
Earlier this year, you ran an article on similar topic, which I showed to my teenaged daughter in the hope that she would see the light regarding the inferior quality of compressed formats and super compact players.
But there's another side to this. I was on the verge of replacing my all-in-one system with two or three separates ... one thing stopped me: the shear size of the units. I realised I would have to replace my entire music cabinet just to accomodate my new aquisition. These items are nearly half a meter wide! Is the idea that bigger-is-better driven by consumer perception or industry? In this day of nano technology, we should get quality components in reasonable sized packaging. Maybe not measured in millimetres but please not in metres!
