I heard that when Max Richter did his live performance of 'Sleep' in Berlin, he gave the audience beds to sleep on. I used to go to sleep playing sleep. I might try some of the other albums mentioned

As I keep finding on online ambient lists, this is solely based off of what is famous. Why else do the same albums tend to show up over and over again? Although they are excellent, for many there are thousands of better albums. I challenge you to listen to any of these and tell me they aren't more deserving of a spot than the Disintegration Loops:
