mu-so by Naim

That looks fantastic.

£900 is more than fair if it sounds as good as AE says.

One opportunity missed would have been some speaker outputs for external units.

It's given me food for thought.

I am definitely going to get a listen to it as soon as possible.

AirPlay and an optical input are what I would need and it has them both.

The review also highlights that it's overall balance flatters BBC radio and Spotify (and other internet radio streams) which is all good by me.

If it lives up to the sound quality described, then it's about the right price and would give me the chance to de-clutter / de-cable even more than I have already.

Yep, it looks very interesting.

I think that would send the wrong message. I believe the message Naim is sending is that the mu-so is a great sounding, stylish & convenient system. The moment you start adding options to bypass the built-in speakers, you send the message that they really don't sound that great. Plus they already have the Unitiqute for persons interested in adding their own speakers.

I assume that it will sound fantastic and can't wait to hear it. However, I love streaming and listening all over the house. It seems to me that it is just too big for bedrooms/bedside lockers etc. and not exactly the best colour for bedrooms either. Living room and dining rooms I can go with, but that's where the main hifi sits. So whilst it seems a great piece of kit, there are few practical places where it would sit in my house.

I can't wait to be corrected on my next trip to J Lewis or Audio-T.
