I am moving my tv on the wall which will allow my centre speaker to sit on top of the tv stand and i can now move my denon amp on the stand. Which now is within 1m of my sky hd,ps3,xbox360 and will

so my question is i have a 3m(cheap) hdmi from my ps3 to my amp , 3m (cheap)hdmi,5m optical (vianco sound and image) from my sky hd, and a 3m(cheap) hdmi from my xbox360. and a 5m (vivanco sound and image 5star) from my amp to the tv.

how much will i gain from change them to 1m cables and lets say up to £20 notes each cables what the best upgrades i can get.

I will now be able to also put my arcam alpha9 next to my CA harddrive i am using a 3m pair of inters which are ok but no big brand. So again will there be any 1m cable say up to £20 can be pre owned that will be worth while.

My only upgrades at the moment have been speaker cable for my hifi which was £7 per metre not bad but was hoping for a little more change. The next was a copper alpha at 35 squid i have only been rich enough to own 1 and i found the cd player/harddrive made the most differance. and i also bought a tacima cs92 which on the tv has been unreal.

many thanks for any help in advance

In my opinion, changing to shorter cables on the digital side of things will ony tidy up your system. I have experimented with HDMI, Toslink and coax of varying lengths at varying prices (although not ridiculous amounts I might add) and could not tell any difference. Save your money and buy more films ;-)
