MORDAUNT-SHORT SUB JUST GONE DEAD

My Alumni 9 sub just got dead. should i repair it or just bite the bullet and get a new one.. I really like the sub and have served me for over 5yrs now.. I like so much thinking of getting another. Could anything better the Alumni 9 for the price of £200.00? Please if any one got any suggestions on a different brand. looking around £300.00

Why not speak to Mordaunt Short and see if it is repairable? You never know until you try and it costs nothing to ask. I have a B&W ASW 610 with B&W 685 Theatre and driven by my Onkyo 905. However my sub is out ofyour budget!

I use my Arcam amp with my Moraunt Short Pageant 2s a fantasic speaker.

Ok that actually sounds like a good idea to ask, will try and do that 2morrow. I will at a later date get a better sub but right now money is a bit tight. Just splashed out on a Arcam AVR450.. Am glad i did.. This thing is dynamic & them some.

Anyway thanks for advice.
