Mordaunt Short Aviano 1 and...Amplifier?

Hi! This is my new post...I´d like to buy those speakers but I don´t know wich the best equilibrated amplifier to buy?I´ve seen:

- Cambridge Audio 550a or 650a

- Naim nait 5i

- Roksan kandy 2

-Rotel?

Have you demo'd the speakers at all; more so with the amps you've mentioned? If not I'd highly recommend doing so.

It'd also be handy to know what music you listen to generally and also what your source will be (i.e. CD Player, iPod via DAC etc...)

IMO the MS Aviano 1's are ok speakers but for the likes of the Roksan Kandy K2 and Naim Nait 5i amps; better speaker can be had!

The MS speakers would go well with the likes of the mentioned C/A amps or maybe the Rotel RA04SE amp or the NAD C326BEE amp.

Do you have an over all budget; if so have you budgeted for cables and speaker stands?

If Aviano 1 are the speakers you'll be getting, then forget all other amps you mentioned, and try to partner them with some CA amps mentioned, excellent synergy.

I personally like the Aviano range with the Marantz PM6003. I also agree that the Cambridge 550A would be worth a listen, but the Marantz is the one I would go for with those speakers.

Why not the Mezzo 1 or Mezzo 2? I think they're so much nicer for a little extra.

Iïve reconsidered the Mezzo 2 for a little extra and Iïve bought a pair of them. Now Iïm thinking in these amplifiers:

- Marantz , pm 6003 or pm8003? Iïve heard and read that the Marantz is a good sinergy with MS

- and Roksan Kandy K2

I would be looking at the Marantz PM8003 or the Cambridge Audio 740A with those speakers.
