Mordaunt Short 902i speakers with Denon M37DAB

Does anyone have this setup??

I have just set this up for my dining room as a second system but I am finding the overall depth of sound for vocals in particular a little thin and flat no matter how I set the system.

Has anyone had any success with this combination and is it the speakers or the system that is likely to be causing the problem. If it's the speakers will the Wharfdale 9.1 Diamonds be a better choice??

Hi Prophet156,

I don't have this setup, but I do have the 902is and in my system (Marantz PM4200, Rega Planet) they are not thin at all. In particular, they sound excellent with voices, so if voices are thin in your setup, it may be the amplifier (which I don't know).

i have the same set-up, do you use sdb and what db do you use with your bass and treble?? does your bass distort a little towards peak volume??

Is the Optimizing Filter set to off? Just a thought to check that.
