Question Monitor Audio Silver RX8 paired with Arcam Alpha 8 + 8P

Hello all, new to the forum, pls be gentle 😉

So I recently fired up my old school Arcam Alpha 8 + 8P power amp (bi-amp) set up with my AE109s from 1998! Still a beautiful sound in my view, but have been looking at getting some new speakers.

Found a nice pair of second hand Monitor Audio Silver RX8 for sale at £600...

Question: before I take the plunge, is my 50W Alpha 8 + 50 W Alpha 8P amp combo sufficient to do the RX8 speakers justice? Or is there other speakers out there which would pair better with the Alpha 8/8P without breaking the bank?

Any wisdom on this would be highly appreciated!!

The RX8's are pretty efficient and there is no reason to believe a 50wpc amplifier will be insufficient to drive them.

Room
Is 5x8 metres, so plenty space. AE109 were lower-mid end speakers back in the day. Just wondering if I can get a bigger, brighter and more detailed sound if I spend £600-£900 on some secondhand speakers
